It’s official. Last Friday my university held our graduation ceremony, which means that I finally have my diploma and that BA title. It was a lovely day, and I was more than happy that my parents and grandparents managed to be there as well.

Sorry for not posting anything lately. I have been rather busy with writing on my finals for two of my courses and after I managed all that I started feeling a little under weather and not in the mood for blogging.

However, last weekend my mommy visited me for a couple of days which was great and requires a post. It was really nice to spend some precious time with her. Saturday we went on a city trip to Brussels. The weekend before, when my grandparents were here, it was almost 20° warm; a week later, the temperature dropped to about half of it, so it was pretty cold walking through the capital of Belgium.

I’m not sure what to think about this city, though… It is an interesting place which has a lot of culture to offer and it surely has quite some nice parts but, boy, it is ugly at others. Fortunately we managed to mainly stroll around the nicer areas. And what is also a very positive aspect of the city is that they have Le Pain Quotidien, which provided us with a tasty lunch.

Tefaf

Last weekend my grandparents paid me a visit here in beautiful Maastricht. They had planned on doing so for ages but it never worked out. Now, they happened to have tickets for TEFAF (art fair) and decided that this would be a perfect opportunity to combine going there with visiting their granddaughter. Ach, it simply was a marvelous weekend with amazing weather that almost felt like a short holiday to me. Having my lovely grandparents here for a while was great; showing them around town, having dinner together, and just spent some precious time with them.

Weihnachtsferien

Messieurs dames, I’m back in Züri after spending the holidays in my hometown in Germany.

I stayed in Essen for almost a week, and since I haven’t seen my family and close friends for several months, being back felt pretty great!
It has been a nice week, mainly dedicated to Christmas traditions and relaxing.
